Support in Memory

There are many charities and services that exist to support you through bereavement. Grief is a long journey and is different for everyone but there is support out there.

When someone you love passes away, in memory of them, you may want to donate to a charity that they cared about, or a charity that works in an area related to their death. There are different ways you can do this, for example: fundraising challenges or events, memorial donation pages such as JustGiving, and funeral collections (asking friends and family to donate instead of flowers).

We are here to support you, whichever way you choose to raise money for OLLIE in memory of a loved one.

Donate in memory:

  • Give a one off donation or set up a monthly gift to OLLIE in your loved one’s name.

Fundraise in memory:

  • Take on a challenge or organise an event in memory of your loved one, OLLIE will support you every step of the way.

  • We have lots of sports based events that you can join to fundraise in memory, find these in our fundraising section.

Funeral Collection:

  • Collecting donations at a funeral is a wonderful way to remember your loved one and honour their memory while supporting OLLIE’s vital work.

  • Funeral Directors can help you organise collections at your service and will send any donations to OLLIE on your behalf. If you’d like to arrange this, please speak with your Funeral Director, or get in touch with the OLLIE team if you have any questions.

  • You may prefer to set up an online tribute page: Much Loved is a website where you can set up an online tribute page to collect funeral donations and share thoughts photos and memories of the person you’ve lost.

Always in our Thoughts page

  • We have a tribute page honouring the lives of those we’ve lost to suicide, this memorial page is a place of remembrance and reflection. We invite you to make a submission to remember and celebrate loved ones you have lost to suicide.
