Guidance for Educational Settings Following A Suicide or Sudden Death

This guide is designed as a comprehensive resource for schools and other educational settings to turn to in the tragic event of a suicide or sudden death in their community.

My Safe Plan

A Safe Plan can play a vital role in keeping you safe when you are feeling distressed or thinking about suicide. Your Safe Plan will remind you of reasons to live, connecting you with people and services who can help during difficult times.

My Prescription Safe Plan

This is a Prescription Safe Plan so it also considers the possibility of experiencing side effects from your medication that may cause your mood and well-being to temporarily reduce. You can take it to your GP clinician and ask them to advise who and when to call should you feel your mental health is reducing despite the medication.

Help is at Hand

Help is at Hand is a bereavement support guide for people affected by suicide, with both emotional and practical support. People who have been bereaved by suicide have used their experiences to lead the creation of this resource. It is produced by Support After Suicide.
