OLLIE stands for

ONE LIFE LOST IS ENOUGH

Let's Chalk About It (social media)

Let’s Chalk About It 🧡

During lockdown we have experienced;

Worries…Isolation…Uncertainty…Loneliness…Boredom…Frustration…Saddness…and Hope?

Let’s Chalk About It.

A one-day, socially-distanced community event. The OLLIE Foundation invites YOU to take part, all ages and abilities; all you need is chalk, a smudge of creativity and a bit of free time on Saturday the 5th September <3

Create a piece of chalk-art outside your home, in a public space, or on a chalk-board and hang it in your window. Chalk a message of appreciation for someone who helped you during lockdown, nominate your friend to take part or dedicate your amazing chalk drawing to someone you know is struggling right now.

Take a picture of your chalk and email it to [email protected]; we will then post your images on our social media and save them on our website; bringing our local community together in a creative, inclusive and fun way. We have been inspired by the great @HertsChalkWalk on Instagram over lockdown and a similar, successful chalking event in Australia- you can watch a video of this event here.

It would be great if you could buy your own chalk, but if not, we will have collection hubs where you can collect chalk, an instruction leaflet and make a donation to The OLLIE Foundation. For a map of these collection hubs, to make an online donation and for more information right to your inbox; please register your interest in this event here. For up-to-date information in the lead-up and on the day, click ‘going’ on our Facebook event; here.
