OLLIE stands for

OLLIE’s funding from The Postcode Community Trust

The Postcode Community Trust is a grant-giving charity funded entirely by players of People’s Postcode Lottery. OLLIE wanted to ensure that the state secondary schools in Hemel Hempstead were able to access OLLIE’s training, so we applied to the People’s Community Trust to remove any financial barriers so that all the state secondary schools could access fully funded training. This project has only been made possible thanks to the Postcode Community Trust providing £7980.

Each school will be offered an in-house safeTALK session for up to 30 members of staff, and 4 places on any of our ASIST open dates but relevant senior staff. With nine schools in total that’s training for 306 people to help create suicide sager communities. OLLIE’s operations manager Verity said “to be able to offer fully funded training to nine secondary schools is such a fantastic opportunity. We want to thank the Postcode Community Trust for making this possible, as well as the players of the People’s Postcode Lottery as without their support this wouldn’t be possible.”

We also want to thank Sir Mike Penning for backing this project and supporting OLLIE on our journey to prevent youth suicide through training and education.
