Saturday 8th September saw young and old alike gather to take part or spectate in a much-awaited basketball tournament. The tournament was raising awareness and funds for OLLIE and CLIC Sargent. The day had such a buzz to it and a festival atmosphere with the help of DJ Rocaball mixing tracks.
The games were opened with short talks from OLLIE and CLIC and the presence of the Deputy Mayor Cllr Brian Gibbard followed by a minute’s silence for the young people that are no longer with us.
All the teams played hard and well, some took part in the Herts Police “Beat the Bleep” test. A big thank you to Charlotte Pearce who attended on behalf of OLLIE and created a promotional video showcasing what fundraisers for OLLIE can look like with hard work and dedication.
