Overview of this Training Course

Have you ever wished you had a user manual for YOU, something that could help explain how emotions and thought work ?

In this 90-minute talk you will learn how your amazing inbuilt survival system, an incredible system that runs 24/7, keeps you safe. You will also learn how another amazing inbuilt system, your thoughts, can create huge amounts of overtime for your survival system and when the two are out of sync, how you can end up feeling stressed and anxious.

You will consider how the brain processes emotions like fear, anger and worry, and how that process starts a chain reaction that creates a range of responses across the body. Because most of us are never taught how our 'thought' and 'emotion' works or how to manage these systems, things can build up like an emotional and physical Jenga tower with negative or intrusive thoughts creating stress and anxiety and creating physical issues too. The good news is once you understand how the systems work, it’s much easier to take back control of YOU.

In this talk you will also consider:

  • The science of emotion and our innate survival and psychological systems
  • How and why the stress response system gets triggered and the typical chain reaction of physical and cognitive responses.
  • A range of strategies that can soothe and support moments of overwhelm, stress and negative thoughts.
