Autism, Suicide Risk and Intervention

A session on suicide prevention, focusing on risk and protective factors for autistic teens. Specifically for parents to support your teens.

We’re excited to welcome back Lisa Morgan for an insightful session on suicide prevention, focusing on risk and protective factors for autistic teens. This talk is designed specifically for parents and will explore key strategies to help you support your teen’s mental well-being.

Lisa Morgan brings extensive expertise in this area, with a focus on empowering parents and providing practical tools to navigate these complex challenges. Amongst crucial considerations, Lisa will share ideas around communication and its impact on assessment and how language causes unintentional harm.

Her insights will be invaluable for understanding the unique factors impacting autistic teens. Lisa aims for delegates to leave the session better informed in how to provide truly meaningful support for autistic teens using language that deescalates rather than activates.
