suicide to Hope workshop is tailored for professional helpers who work with individuals dealing with long-term suicide struggles rather than crisis intervention model. The session encourages and enables professionals to apply a recovery and growth oriented approach to working with individuals previously at risk and currently safe from suicide.

Talk explores:

  • implementing the Pathway to Hope model, a Living Works tool to focus on recovery and growth
  • how to identify barriers to recovery for individuals and how to set goals to stay safe from suicide
  • a monitoring and review process that can be used throughout the process of support.

Delegates will:

  • gain confidence in providing secure and effective ongoing care for people who were previously at risk from suicide.
  • build on their strong foundation of suicide prevention knowledge *

* While ASIST is not a prerequisite, it is recommended as one way to learn suicide first aid and provides background for suicide to Hope’s learning processes and tools.
